I am a very experienced photographer with over thirty five years experience. I taught photography at The University of Georgia and have freelanced as a photojournalist during that time for a number of regional and national publications. My wedding experience covers over twenty five years during which I have photographed hundreds of weddings. Like most progressive professional photographers, I have moved from using silver based films to digital imaging using the highest quality professional digital camera and lighting equipment.

I have a talented associate, Ashleigh Salazar, who works with me on select weddings and family portraits. She is an accomplished photographer with numerous magazine credits as well as extensive wedding and portrait experience. I have worked with her for over two years and I am very fortunate to have her as an associate.

We see our role as wedding photographers being that of photojournalists or story tellers trying to capture in pictures all the excitement and emotion of your most special day. Our usual approach is to start one or two hours before the ceremony photographing the bride and bridesmaids as they prepare for the wedding. There are always a lot of great visual opportunities here to capture lifelong friendships and the emotions present. Likewise, we also work with the groom and his groomsmen as they get ready for the big event. Here again, lifelong friendships provide for great photographs. Just before the ceremony begins we try to capture the wedding party and especially the bride and her father as they prepare to walk down the aisle. During the ceremony we usually take limited available light photographs depending on the wishes of the bride as well as the restrictions of the church and minister. Immediately after the ceremony we photograph the new couple as they kiss and walk up the aisle and their first candid moments outside the church.

Immediately after the ceremony our role shifts from photojournalists to studio photographers as we photograph the posed wedding party and family groups in the church using additional professional lighting equipment to assure that these photographs are of the highest quality. It is important to have a wedding director or family member responsible for gathering the various family groups you wish photographed. With a little organization, this part of the photographic process will take only a short time and you can quickly be on your way to the reception.

At the reception we once again become story tellers trying to capture the couple with friends and family in candid moments. The presentation of the couple, the first dance, cutting the cake(s), toasts, throwing the bouquet and garter and other traditional pictures are covered as are numerous candid shots which are a major part of the coverage. We are, of course, available to take any and all special photographs you might wish.

If possible, we like to meet with the couple before the wedding to discuss their desires as to photographic coverage and special pictures they want taken. We are also available for engagement photographs, rehearsal dinners and family portraits. Please inquire about rates for these services. See "Examples of Our Work" and "Wedding Packages and Prices".

Our prices are based on services rendered and are time orientated. Any photographic prints, albums and photographic CD's are included based on the package chosen . . . and you get all JPEG files (negatives) with a copyright release. We hope you will allow us to be your photographers on your special day.
